That could be caused by the camera looking at the scene. Cameras have AWB
(automatic white balance), which may or may not be defeatable. The AWB
continually adjusts the red and blue gain to try to maintain a certain color
temperature. When such a camera looks at a scene that does not have a
variety of colors in it, the AWB circuit is fooled and the colors become
un-natural appearing.
The TV video demodulator can also create such an effect. If the video
demodulator has automatic flesh color compensation, it shifts any pinkish
colors to flesh color, again sometimes creating un-natural colors. You might
check the TV menu to see if it has auto flesh color compensation and if it
can be turned off.
