Phil,
This model was one that had the flicker issue requiring replacement of
all three crt's. The serial number range affected was 9000001 -
90006452. The symptoms observed with the flicker issue included a shift
in hue/color. Sony did extend the labor/parts warranty to a full two
years for this problem.

Subject: [TechAssist] Sony KDP65XBR2 HDTV: white highlights get a
colored hue?

This is a CRT type 65" Sony HDTV. Few years old.
A very "discriminating" customer says as he watches the olympics
volleyball, where there is a view of the white sand the white seems to
shift to a color, say bluish, etc.Doesn't stay pure white. He related the
effect to a shift in "kelvins". He says it's irritating, tho not severe.
Said he did not so far see this effect in HD mode. It's comming in next
week.
Any help appreciated. Manual, field guide, learning article, etc
