My opinion in which I mentioned before, all the light bulb will do when
hooked up from collector to ground is put a load on the B+ and check the
power supply. It will not check the horizontal output circuits. Putting a
light bulb in series with the the ac line will work if one can find a way to
disable the reset circuit on a CTC 169. It can be done on a CTC156,157,and a
