Hi all, I have two Magnavox sets, M8 chassis with same problem of the A/V input not working. I'm sure the problem is incorrect data in the option bytes, I have the Factory Mode Remote and the instructions and have the "correct" option byte data from Philips entered and saved. I also have a third set, new just out of the box with no problems, same model and chassis. Checking the option bytes in the working new set I find the data is not only different but also not listed in the FMR instructions, no way to enter the data that is there. Details, Model MS3650C129 option bytes in the set with the A/V problem is 000 087 129 162 196 024 000 and is correct per Philips. New set same model, A/V input works 000 215 129 162 164 088 000. The FMR remote is not capable of entering this data. Philips does not have the answer, does anyone here have it? This set does not have the SAM, CAM etc the only was to access service mode is with the FMR. Thanks Jim Myers Telrad Electronic Services Co.
