My digital camcorder uses the firewire port and it works great with Moviemaker, but that computer doesn't have any A/V inputs or a TV tuner. Maybe I should just replace the burner in the one that has the TV tuner and A/V inputs, with a dual layer burner. That might be my easiest solution.
