I have been using a light bulb  in place of fuse for thirty years since my
days at sears, back then we would solder a fuse to the  socket prongs then
break glass to just snap fuse in holder, of course most fuses were the same
size, what I  do anymore, is solder clip leads to socket prongs(I put heat
shrink over prongs) very quick, will fit any where. have a good day
