In Florida sales tax is collected if anything is left behind. If you leave
solder, lubrication, parts, anything, then you collect tax on the entire
amount, parts and labor. If you did, say, an adjustment or a "hook up" and
don't leave anything behind, no tax. If I went to someones house to hook up
a stereo, I would take an invoice book. I would sell the customer the
cables required and then connect the customers cables, so the
installation/hook up labor would be on a seperate service order where there
would be no tax.
