Barry,
That sounds like a plan. I keep my main drive cloned to a second drive
(cloning a partition if it changes much), then pull the drive out of
the rack mount (in case of lightning or severe power surge).
I would like to have it set up like yours, so the second drive could
boot up (to test it) without having to pull the cables off of the
main drive. Is this what you have? Boot menus are often added to the
first sector of the hard drive (like an installed program).
I keep 98 on an old drive just in case I need to run a program which
only works with 98 (no sense in having it on a 40G hard drive). Having
a backup of your newest system is what's really important.
