Jeff,
I just found my problem,  I think.
Yes i definately have an anti virus program running and updated daily.
I've got a new mouse I believe is double clicking , sometimes, (probably not
the mouse but just me) after opening the message the reply icon is located
such that the third click hits the reply icon.   Hard to explain.
