this is what separates the men from the boys,,,,it's a skill you pick up over
time,,,look, feel, smell, heat cool test etc. as far as it takes. Generally if
your in a unit with many bad caps for over 4 hrs, then replace the module or
send it back unrepaired and move on,,time is money. I usually only try for an hr
or so before calling customer with the bad news that replacement is needed,,what
would you like to do, I tell them
