After a lot of help from Victor Santana at Hitachi, and Alvie Rodgers, and a lot of patience with my oscilloscope skills........ lol....... I found a corroded lead on Q502 in the Comb Filter Circuit. One of the previously replaced Leaking Capacitors(C502) next to it,had corroded the Collector Lead of Q502.I replaced it with a 2SC1740. All is well with all inputs........ now I just need my $325 ........ lol Peggs At 03:30 PM 6/16/05, peggs wrote: >This unit has some type of video 'interference' problem. >Both on tuner and the AV inputs. It's hard to describe. >Similar to a slight AGC overload problem. >I've replaced numerous 'leaky' caps on this AV/Video/Chroma board. >They are on other boards in here as well. Most of these >bad caps are Blue,100uF @ 16v. >Heat and chill doesn't help isolate the culprit(s). >Any tips on an old hitachi model CU4601K ??? > >Hitachi website didn't offer much help...... > >Peggs >Peggs' Electronics >1519 West 2nd Street >Owensboro,KY 42301 >270-926-4968 >fax 270-686-7399 >peggs@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > >----------------------------------------------------------------------------- >This Email List is Public.
