I agree John...

All kinds of Crap on the Market. I use the GC or Chem-Wik.
If it means overheating a $50 IC to remove it..and finding it was  
OK....not worth the saving.

I need to add...Dri-Wick removal takes a little practice on LSIC's.  
Make sure your Dri-Wick is below the work so the solder leaves with   
the Dri-Wick and gravity. A clean tip, and sharp...works wonders.

I'm sure that this is evident to most, that have been in the business  
for a few years...but some newer members may learn.

     Also, the cheap qualities of Circuit boards, these solder tabs  
will not take much heat before lifting from the board.
