In relation to Peter Jones comments - I don't know if he is talking about the same thing - but we are not talking about vehicle read-through of pedestrian near-side indicator signals (although others admittedly claim that this is also a problem) - we are talking about pedestrian read-through problems (ie. pedestrians treating a nearside signal at an 'adjacent' crossing at a junction - as being for in effect like a far-sided signal for themselves). I suspect in most instances where this happens that this is mainly a sub-concious reaction by people who are more used to far-sided signals).
