I noticed in Gutersloh an additional ped head which showed the message
"green coming" for the last few seconds of vehicle green, presumably to stop
impatient pedestrians running across the road just before they got a green
man.

In Dublin, they use three aspect ped heads at some sites (R / A / G man
signals)- but two aspect ped heads at other sites.

On a recent trip to Germany I noticed that they use three aspect ped heads
with two red men.

Does anyone know the official reason for this, is it a fail safe or did they
get a job lot of three aspect heads?
