the cut off the drum thing is what another friend suggested, but that 
unfortunantly doesn't make the bus a roller when i get it off and the shoes 
out. i did the bfh and propane torch for about 2 hours on sunday. couldn't get 
it to budge so that's when i put the tire on it and drug it up and then back 
down the driveway hoping it owuld just break free, nothing, guess i'll just 
have to break down and get the old tranny out and the new one in so it will roll

Bfh and heat or use a cutting torch and cut off the drum

Cutting torch on stand-by or a plasma cutter can take the Nut off quickly.

LOL!  My experience with them if it has been sitting for that long and the 
shoes are frozed there is no way in h_ _ _ you are going to be able to move the 
adjusters.  And as an afterthought, if he is going to change out the tranny 
anyway why bother removing the drum.

Make sure the adjusters are backed off if you can move them.
