[tcb] Re: tranny swap, going to a big nut from a split case

I don't think it's the nut he is having problems with.  The drum is frozen to
the brake shoes.

Cutting torch on stand-by or a plasma cutter can take the Nut off quickly.

well, i have the concern now that the big nut won't fit, and am weighing my
options. but it's looking more and more like the adapter on teh big nut will
make it go in smooth as butter, so i may just do that.

LOL!  My experience with them if it has been sitting for that long and the
shoes are frozed there is no way in h_ _ _ you are going to be able to move the
adjusters.  And as an afterthought, if he is going to change out the tranny
anyway why bother removing the drum.

Make sure the adjusters are backed off if you can move them.
