[tcb] tranny swap, going to a big nut from a split case

ok, from what i've read i just need this:

and do some slight grinding on that and everything slides in to place easy as 
pie correct??? or do i need to do some grinding to the nose cone as well???
one thread on teh samba says one thing, the other says another, i figured one 
of you may know, the answer to this
and how in the heck can i get a stuck drum unstuck??? i've tried heat, BFH, 
prayer, pry-bar, nothing works. any suggestions???
oh, even tried dragging the damn thing down the driveway with a good sticky 
tire, that didn't work either, just left a beg black skid mark on the pavement.
