I run a hose way longer than it should be so I can route it in a way that avoids that 90 degree kink just before it connects to the aircleaner.-----Original Message----- From: i_am_cool_fred@xxxxxxxxxxx To: tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wed, 21 Feb 2007 11:31 AM Subject: [tcb] Re: i spoke to soon...i think it was a combination of a maybe partially kinked hose and rushing home to bail my pickup out of mechanics jail.when i say rushing i mean 65 on the interstate with a head wind. i am going to check the hose when i get home though that might have alot to do with it.>From: Mark Sawyer <mechmark@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> >Reply-To: tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >To: tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >Subject: [tcb] Re: i spoke to soon... >Date: Wed, 21 Feb 2007 09:27:00 -0800 (PST) > >Hmmmm > >Brian Denning <i_am_cool_fred@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: yep > > > >From: Mark Sawyer > >Reply-To: tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > >To: tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > >Subject: [tcb] Re: i spoke to soon... > >Date: Wed, 21 Feb 2007 09:12:05 -0800 (PST) > > > >Do you have the vent hose connected to the air cleaner?? > > > >Brian Denning wrote: i bet it is crankcase > >preassure now that i think about it because it didn't> >do that when the passenger side bail was loose. but now that all oil >leaks> >are taken care of it has no where to release. > >> >so now the question is how do i vent it out? i don't want to have to but >a> >breather on it unless i absolutley have to. i guess i will be double > >checking that ventalator hose. > > > > > > >From: "Brian Denning" > > >Reply-To: tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > > >To: tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > > >Subject: [tcb] Re: i spoke to soon... > > >Date: Wed, 21 Feb 2007 10:06:11 -0600 > > > > > >stock > > > > > >>From: "Eric Woodall" > > >>Reply-To: tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > > >>To: tcb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > > >>Subject: [tcb] Re: i spoke to soon... > > >>Date: Wed, 21 Feb 2007 09:58:52 -0600 (CST) > > >> > > >>Brian, stock pulley or aftermarket? > > >>> > >> > I'm inclined to agree with wuzmop. not enough crank case >ventilation > > >> > causing the oil to seep around the oil slinger on the crank and the> >oil > > >> > being slung off of the pulley. > > >> >> > >> > wuzmop@xxxxxxx wrote: Is your breather hose crimped?
