[tcb] Safe show?

Sammie, I couldn't agree more!

Burnouts / racing on a narrow road lined with campsites and intoxicated
individuals in a state park at midnight...does any part of that sound
reasonable? One blown brake line, wheel cylinder, blown tire, etc. And someone
could have easily been seriously injured or killed. How hard is it to have fun
in a way that doesn't jepordize someone elses safety?

The Chamberlins and others did an awesome job putting on a great show and
should be commended. I think it is terrible that this puts a taint on the
show.

There are rumors going around on the VOSA site that there will not be a Classic
next year due to the idiotic behaviour this year. Can anyone confirm or deny
that? I know if I was running it I would have to think long and hard before
taking on that liability. Let some drunk get hurt and you can be damn sure they
will be suing everyone they can name for not protecting them from their own
stupidity.

Nope; I agree Denis.  Drunk in public or speeds in excess of 10mph at any time
in the show will ban you from the park.  Last year we had VW races in the
middle of the night posted on U tube.  Races again this year.  Steve needs to
have everyone sign a liability release and a code of conduct form that will
result in being banned if not followed.  Cops should have been called a couple
of times this year.  It just takes a few idiots to ruin the show for everyone.

Poor Steve is going to have to make a code of conduct. I think that the "loud
zone" means music and conversation, howling at the moon. But I will be happy if
I never hear racing engines with squealing tires again. It is just plain
infantile and obnoxious. I know I sound like an old man, BUT I AM AN OLD MAN!

Ennis is a good show for exhibitions of speed, not the Classic. These guys are
going to force security people on the show. Something that has not been
necessarily before.

Maybe I'm angry because it's all supposed to be about me!

Well, now that you have brought the subject up:  Yeah, think Steve should
probably ban him from the show.  Some of those types could get us banned from
the park.  There are people who party and have a good time and maybe drink to
much sometimes, and then there are drunks.

Call me mean, but I found nothing to like about him. I drove many many miles to
be with my friends, not to be subjected to him. He took up a lot of the time
when I was supposed to be happy.

Now, I come home and he is here, too!

Maybe I'm just too old and stodgy. I'll be glad if I never run into him again,
unless I'm in Murray.
