I'm finding that Eloquence is causing my phone to re-boot multiple times. Since I've changed to VCM Samantha the problem isn't so severe. I do get the odd message on boot up telling me that the memory is full or system error but that could be a firmware glitch. I'm using a N97 Mini.

I agree Neil about Talks 5 being snappier but I an finding when reading through lots of e-mails on my N 95 Standard that it will crash from time to time and I have to re-boot the phone. Anyone having similar experience? Any suggestions about what might be causing the crash?

Graham,

This is really interesting as I've heard of a few people experiencing what
you have.

My experience is very different although the route to it was different to
and may be relevant.
I'm finding that Talks5 with the latest Eloquence is now snappier than it
has ever been on my N82. I'm happy with the upgrade for this alone. To be
honest, I never really thought it was sluggish in the past, but the
performance since the upgrade has been impressive, including in text message
sending.

What happened to me in the upgrade though was unusual. I installed in the
usual way but lost speech at the end. I was able to verify that TALKS was
not even loading at startup, something I've never had before followingn
upgrade.
In the end, I removed TALKS altogether and installed from scratch and now
its flying!
And no, its not because I changed the install location from memory card to
phone: that was my first thought and I went to double-check I'd not done
this inadvertently.

Good luck and all the best,

Neil

Hi all.

Not sure if this has been covered before but I have a Nokia N82 and have
recently upgraded from Talks 3 to Talks 5.

I find the newest version of Eloquewnce quite slow, particularly when
sending text messages so I downgraded Eloquence to version ending in 117
rather than 123. I have found it much faster over all.

Anyone else had this problem?

Regards

Graham
