Javin,
I thought that Specctraquest was an IBIS simulator. When I took the training
course I asked about Spice models and the instructor (cadence) said that the
simulator does not support spice model files. Can you clarify your comment
about the took being a Spice based simulator, thanks.

Dennis,
Cadence Specctraquest is a Spice based simulator and can be used to
extract PCB data into Spice models for use in HSPICE.
This is one of many solutions though

Subject: [SI-LIST] Tool Recommendations?
I am beginning a project which requires signal integrity analysis across
a
system including multiple PCB, connector and cable transitions. It
requires
lossy transmission line modelling for signals from 100MBit/sec to
800MBit/sec.
I believe the best available lossy transmission line modelling is in
HSPICE.
Is this true?
Does anyone have a recommendation for extracting PCB data to geneate
spice
models?
Are there more appropriate tools for this job?
Thanks in advance.
