Like you I am born of the north, PA, grew up near there, MD, and now live in
the deepest of south, Miami.
Personally, I find the confederate flag to represent more of the unpleasant
history, and less of the region now.
As a Jewish white person, I was raised to believe in equality no matter what.
Judge people individually, not as a group. I try very hard to live that way.
On a recent trip through about 7 states, I found that everyone I came in
contact with was friendly, from Florida through Georgia, on to Tennessee,
Kentucky, and Missouri, and on the way home, Arkansass, Mississippi, Georgia,
and back to Florida and home. Now I may not be able to spell all the states,
but I think those are the ones we were in.
People of all walks of life were around me, interatcted with me and not one
treated me with disrespect. No matter what color, shape, gender, or size.
The confederate flag represents descrimation, to me, first, and a sense of
heritage second. A heritage that is far from dead, but should be.
Again, my opinion.
Stick with dog patches!!!!!!

my husband thinks it could be misinturped, and that i may offend people.
now i'm thinking if i have to ask, don't put it on...
