Jimmy showed Am & Can. Ch. Jamar's Avenger of Arbor to # 1 All breeds dog in
Canada in 1964 or 1965. Averger is still the only GSD to be Top dog in
Canada so far. Avenger was owned by our own Canadian all-breed judge Heather
Logan of Donami farms in Ontario, Canada

Do you remember who he showed before Manhatten? I know in specialty he
showed Lance, but who did he show in the all-breed rings?

I believe that Jimmy's mother bred and showed poodles (gawd ... I may be
wrong on the breed) and that he began in the all-breed ring but I mostly saw
him
at specialties when he was ohhh so very young. I saw him locally showing
GVx Tatta of Fran-Jo in the Open class at an all breed show - the judge was
Barbara Amidon who appreciated her movement even if Tatta was out of coat
and
not very attractive at the time. I also remember him showing Eko-Lans
Morgan
and sporting a pompadour with long sideburns (Hehehehehehe). At that time,
Lamar ruled the all breed shows - at least, he did in the East Coast.
