I'm 45 and can never remember a time when there wasn't a fuss about the two minutes silence. The silence is televised from Trafalgar Square now, some of our courts (it may be all I don't know) rise for two minutes and there's a major discussion on mailing lists about whether to wear a poppy or not. It's still an important event here. This year is the 90th anniversary so we have had more interest than normal. There's a wealth of coverage on the BBC website :- <http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7720601.stm> <http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/7721396.stm> <http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7718227.stm> > Be in peace!
