The term "Rollei" was used for the first time to name
the "Rolleidoscop", the stereo camera that used roll
film, the prototypes were named "Roll-hei-doscop" but
marketing people at F&H did not like the way it
sounded and then production cameras were called
Rolleidoscop, BTW "Hei" and "ei" come from
"Hei-decke"; ei pronounced eye in English.
