You're dreaming in technicolor. Obviously you do not know much about the camera.The following is a quote from DPReview that compared this to the D40X to the Canon Rebel. "Compared to the other cameras there's very little to choose although the EOS 400D does maintain more detail at ISO 1600 than the Nikon or Olympus." So for me more detail in the Canon would be the way to go. The D40X is slightly smaller but also 10MP v. 12Mp for the Rebel.
