That doesn't work with digital phone on the same box as it just switches to 
the backup battery.

Kim? If you know where the power chord plugs in to the modem, pull that from
the wall, count to yourself thirty seconds and then plug it in back to the
modem. Wait another thirty seconds and then you should be good to go. Hope
