That can happen when any program is uninstalled. Some programs delete files they shouldn't during the uninstall process. Thats why its a good idea to have a current backup in case something goes wrong. I think the system restore feature in windows is junk. I have it turned off on all of our computers. I make weekly or bi-weekly backups with Image for windows and store the backup on a 1 tb drive that gets copied to another 1 tb drive. Some may think I'm OCD about backups but its so easy to reinstall an image of the entire drive than having to reinstall windows and all of your programs.
