Hi, Finally, I find time to read everything and respond (not used to this kind of BEST threads anymore, apparently). First of all, Manu, thank you for the effort. I was best man myself some years ago, so I know what it's like ;) I am starting to get excited for Saturday. Most bachelor parties I have been to were pretty memorable - and now in a BEST context ... ;) Here are my comments: Bratislava - This was an idea for almost all bachelor parties I have been to, but it would be cool to finally make it happen for real. Transport - I can offer neither car nor driver, but I am fine with either taxi or bus/train (I have a Vorteilscard). Time - My experience is that everything takes longer than expected during bachelor parties - that should be kept in mind. However, I am flexible about beginning and end. If people are available at different times, we could have a slow start in the park with some beer, or so, until everybody has joined. Like a warm-up ;) Costs - Of course I am fine with splitting costs for Rudi and shared stuff, like transport. Strippers - I went to a strip club (Beverly Hills in Vienna) once during a bachelor party and it was quite a rip-off, although I negotiated a discount beforehand. Manager, waiters, strippers, DJ, it's all about money, not about having a good time, and you can really tell from the whole atmosphere. But maybe it's different in Bratislava. Anyway, it's a bachelor party, so fine with me. Musicals - My girlfriend actually works at Ronacher, so she personally knows most of the musical actors and actresses. If I ask her, maybe she could get one of them (probably not the main characters) to sing with Rudi and us in the streets of Vienna for some minutes. But it would have to be well timed, as there are 2 shows on Saturday. Shirt - Okay, I have a blue/black polo. Suiting Up - I am not too fond of suits in my free time. But blue jeans with polo shirt and sports jacket (Sakko) would be an option as well. Beard - Okay, already in place, although not exactly Rudi-style, but good enough, I guess. Red hair - Okay, no important meetings next week ;) Pre-Meeting - Filled in the doodle (rather busy this week). General - Most important is to keep the momentum during the night ;) See you soon, Stefan _____ From: rbp-vienna-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rbp-vienna-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Hubert Lehner Sent: Tuesday, April 23, 2013 5:56 PM To: rbp-vienna@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [rbp-vienna] Re: Rudi's Bachelor Party - let's get started! As far as I have seen, the trains tickets are 15 EUR in ONE direction (at least if you don´t have Vorteilscard). cheers, Hubert 2013/4/23 Alexander Rind <alex.rind@xxxxxxxxx> Going back around 4 would also fit my schedule well. For the record: Trains go about the same time 4:24, 5:42 but are slightly more expensive (15 Euro there and back). -- Alex On 23.04.2013 16:56, Hubert Lehner wrote: concerning the starting time: as already said, since my girlfriend and I have to move stuff on the weekend, I´m also more in favor of starting a bit later and staying longer. So what about taking eurolines. In that case we get the ticket there and back for 12 EUR per Person: http://www.eurolines.at/sites/default/files/eul_schedule/pdf/7010.pdf We could leave Vienna at 17:30 or 18:30 and go back at 4:20 or in case we want to stay longer at 6:25. cheers, Hubert 2013/4/23 Manuel Bernhardt <bernhardt.manuel@xxxxxxxxx <mailto:bernhardt.manuel@xxxxxxxxx>> Hi! > Hair: > I can not color my hair for two reasons: > 1. (And i still think that the suit up is a better > idea :) ) I think we won't be unified anyway, i.e. some blue, some black, and probably wearing pull-overs or something above it if/when it gets colder. But it's nothing with a logo or slogan that you often see also in Vienna for bachelor parties. Rudi's t-shirt is in the making as we speak (I'm sitting in Café Berlin on the Siebensterngasse, waiting for the printshop 200m from it to finish it). They did not have polos, but good quality dark blue t-shirts, so I settled for that one, I think he'll appreciate the theme. > Time: > I think 2-3 is too early to leave. Hmm, let's try a compromise :) What about leaving at around 4 PM? Then we are there at 5 PM, probably starting inside of an underground pub, so if we start there and take e.g. one hour, we have then 2h left outside. But I'd like to hear more opinions before I book the taxi :) That is, I would then probably not have a female driver available for the kidnapping because she'll be scuba-diving at 6 PM, so that is too short... anyone else having a willing driver-friend (with car) available, or should we just go all with public transport? > Transport: > I am fine with splitting the cost for Rudi and with the price. Ok cool. Atm I am thinking that if we pitch all in with 25 € / person, that should cover the taxi + the t-shirt + a large amount of Rudi's drinks for the evening. > P.S. So you are really considering bringing a laptop with you? :D Uhm, we'll see about this :) If we can find something cool to do with it, why not! manu > > > > On Tue, Apr 23, 2013 at 12:02 PM, Manuel Bernhardt > <bernhardt.manuel@xxxxxxxxx <mailto:bernhardt.manuel@xxxxxxxxx>> wrote: >> >> Hi! >> >> Ok, I filled the poll :) >> >> I found a printshop that could make a t-shirt in time - they don't >> have polo's unfortunately.
