One of my cameras has two threads. The normal 1/4"-20 and also a larger 3/8-16 thread. It is a Wisner Technical Field 4"x5" camera. I prefer using the larger bolt in this camera. The tripod and head are Gitzo, and the Gitzo head comes with both size bolts. -- .~.
