Shannon, I prefer to use Agfa 118 surface or David Lewis' paper available through the Formulary for bromoil. I slight tooth work great. Frisket, Drafting tape, patience and practice. Cotton balls, not polyester puffs, tooth picks, and brushes. Slight sepia as suggested does add a nice starting point with some portraiture, but lighter the better I think. Have fun.
