Van dyke prints, or Van dyke brown prints, or Brown prints use the light sensitivity of iron compounds to create a silver image. The silver deposits are very fine, resulting in a brown colour. Cyanotype, uses the light sensitivity of iron compounds to create an image in "Prussian Blue". This process is similar to that used in the "blue print" process, used for copying architects drawings etc. Richard Quoting Bill Stephenson <photographica@xxxxxxxxxxx>: > alternatively known as beard-wearers?
