I think that somewhere under my sink I have a tank made by FR that I
think is similar. Viewed from the top it is about 6" square and has a
number of slots on two opposing sides of the interior. There are two
inserts with about 12 curved slots on one side of each. You put the
inserts
in the tank slots (with the curved slots facing each other) that give
you
the correct width for 2 1/4 X 3 1/4, 3 1/4 X 4 1/4, or 4X5 film.
You then
slide the film into the opposing slots. When the film is loaded you
put on
a light baffle and then the lid and it becomes a (rather poor)
"daylight"
tank. I remember that the biggest problem was agitation...hard to do
well
because solutions would slop out.

The FR tank is similar to the Yankee tank. I don't know if Yankee
tanks are still available but they were certainly still made recently.
These tanks all require that agitation be done by shoving the tank
back and forth. Its not a very good method. While many report good
results with the Yankee/FR style tank I have never had and the only
time I have ever had airbels on negatives was from a Yankee tank.
There were special tanks for film pack film. One was made by
Nikor. I think may may even have made inserts for roll film tanks that
took film pack film. The film will go into standard sheet film hangars
but is so flexible that it often comes right out of the hanger when
agitating. The old Nikor spiral cage type sheet film tank should be ok.
I have found it almost impossible to get a sheet of pack film in a Nikor
spiral without kinking it although I'm sure it was done. Agreed that the
FR would be very difficult to agitate without flushing the super thin
pack film out of the holders. The old metal taco tank works perfectly.
It is round with a pie-cutter looking insert that holds the individual
sheets folded like a taco. They can't go anywhere and any form of
agitation is possible.
