[pure-silver] Re: Citric Acid as stop bath

I once had to use powdered boric acid in a developer when I had run out of the
crystalline form.  I think the other ingredients help with the disolution.  But
if you don't have a stirrer solution in water is much more difficult.

True, but my magnetic stirrer does a pretty quick job of getting it dissolved
when I’m building D-76, with just a bit of help from a manual stirring rod. The
D-76 formula also specifies crystalline boric acid, but I’ve used the powdered
because it was easiest for me to buy at my local chain pharmacy (CVS).

Powdered boric acid tends to clump up and float when added to water naking it
difficult to dissolve.
