[pskmail] Installing PSKmail_server in UBUNTU 6.10

Hi again,
I have tried to install PSKmail_server in an UBUNTU 6.10 installation and I
get many errors. I managed to install fldigi but I had to make my own links to
the proper names of the hamlib libraries so that fldigi did not complain but I
am not sure I did it right.
Is there a way to make a fresh installation of liveCD.iso in an empty harddisk
so that it boots LINUX from the harddisk and runs from the harddisk?
If not what is the best/easiest Linux distribution that you reccomend?
What distribution does everyone else use?
Any info would be much appreciated.
