I'm leaning towards not footnoting these situations since anyone who has struggled through 15 adventures with the Sommerswerd in hand would surely remember this bonus. If not, c'est dommage!

If we do footnote them, we need to do an extra check to ensure that
these sections are in areas where it's OK to use the Sommerswerd (i.e.
outside of Xaagon, I believe).

Good question. Grand Huntmastery doesn't note any improvements in hunting ability, and the description for Huntmastery in the Magnakai series says: "This skill ensures that a Kai Master will never starve in the wild; he will always be able to hunt for food, even in areas of wasteland and desert." So Huntmastery should be sufficient to avoid carrying a meal. Why even ask to eat a meal? Did Joe forget that LW has Huntmastery?
