Thanks Margaret -- that is what I was wondering.

Hi Fernando,
The calling all singers is to be sent to our PC roster. Was that your
question?

Who is this being sent to? Sorry to be 'that guy', but an introduction
would be helpful for me.

Keeping in mind that this is the first time I am seeing this: I agree with
Linda -- though I, too, feel the urge to write a doomsday-esque letter
begging for member voice, I think that an upbeat email might be more
welcoming and therefore, perhaps, more effective. I also agree with keeping
the focus on Nov. 21, simply because it helps keep the letter short and
simple.

What I just sent is incomplete. I was typing mid-sentence when it

Next sentence would be:
Knowing how many singers we will have and the distribution of voices is
key to picking the best possible music for this concert.

Anyway, something like that. Keep it upbeat. Focus only on the one
concert. Oh, and add that we need to hear back from folks ASAP since time
is shoet.

- I'm thinking we should keep the focus for this email on just the
November concert. Opening by mentioning the March concert makes it seem as
if it is the one we're most concerned about. Including it at all dilutes
the importance of the most pressing issue - finding out who can sing in
November.

Our worry about dwindling numbers is too apparent, as well. I think
the regular attendance pep rally letter should be separate and more upbeat.

Calling All Singers!
Skillin's Greenhouses in Falmouth has generously offered us space for
a fall holiday concert on Saturday, November 21. We will be collecting food
and donations for Good Shepherd food bank, as well as recruiting new
members for Phoenix Chorale.
We need a show of hands, please, as to who can commit to singing at
the concert and regular rehearsal attendance from now until the concert and
who can commit to singing at the concert.

Greetings,

Calling all singers - in the long term - we have a concert planned
for March to raise funds for Immigrant Legal Advocacy Project (ILAP). In
the short term, a concert is being put on the calendar for Saturday,
November 21, most likely to be held at Skillins in Falmouth.
Knowing who is able to commit to regular attendance and availability
for our performances is key to our planning and moving forward.
Understandably we all have Thursdays when other aspects of life takes
precedence, but if those able and willing to commit to a November 21
concert can speak up, it will help inform and guide us as plans are put
into place.

Thank you.

Best,

The Board of Directors & the Artistic Director
