Sure, they won't "help" any, but my point is that doesn't necessarily 
mean that any of them have anything to do with anything important. 
There are few sites on the net that validate.  Even HTML authority sites 
are full of HTML errors.  ~90% of the time they have nothing to do with 
the way a page is displayed because they are usually things like 
improperly ordered closing tags, too many closing tags, font tag in the 
wrong place, etc.  That's NOT to say that the cause of his issue is not 
due to an error, and yes, it's good advice and I agree it's good to use 
them to find errors, but it's logical for him to try the fastest 
simplest thing first due to his "newness" at this.  Then, he can tackle 
all the other errors.

By his own admission ("poor coding") he's a newbie at this and I don't 
want to confuse him with anything other than what he's trying to fix 
(although I probably already did that with my last post, LoL, but they 
were simple).
