Well then that's why. I mentioned I'm on XP SP3. But this brings up another question; is it possible to run that version on XP? I'm trying to see if it can be downloaded now, but all I'm finding are bogus BS "bait" pages. Sue, we can swap versions. I searched my HD for 'wordpad' and I found the main .exe file of course, a .PNF file, and two different .inf files. (And two help files that probably aren't necessary). I can send these to you, you can send me yours, and we can see if they'll work. Unless if someone knows this is not possible. -Clint God Bless, Clint Hamilton, Owner www.OrpheusComputing.com www.ComputersCustomBuilt.com www.OrpheusComputing.com/cheap_reliable_web_hosting.html www.OrpheusComputing.com/PCworks-computer-help-email-list.html ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sue Cubic" At 12:24 AM 3/15/2010, you wrote: >Where do you have "Select, Paragraph, Spacing"? > >Sounds like you're using the same version that Sue is using, so where >do >you get this "new, improved" WordPad? >-Clint Mine is V 6.1.7600. It came with Win7. I'd rather have my old version back! I guess this is good if you don't have the full version of Word, but I liked my simple little Wordpad. I wouldn't mind this so much if you could change the defaults and make them stick.
