Maybe try something like http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net It even has a
Languge menu which does not mean speaking but programming and others.
Maybe try OpenOffice for your main docs or even this. I suggest the Go-OO build
they add more things be default and such. http://www.go-oo.org/

Mine is V 6.1.7600. It came with Win7. I'd rather have my old version back!
I guess this is good if you don't have the full version of Word, but I liked my
simple little Wordpad. I wouldn't mind this so much if you could change the
defaults and make them stick.
