Thanks for replying Karl, but that didn't work.
I tried an existing file, Ctrl+A (highlighted everything), but Ctrl+1
did nothing.
So I tried a new file, then did Ctrl+1, pasted the text, still
double-spaced.
This is for WordPad remember, not MSWord, if that's why it doesn't work.

In XP:
- For text already double-spaced, <Ctrl+A>, <Ctrl+1>.
- For a new file, <Ctrl+1>, paste or type in text.
For double-space, use <Ctrl+2>; for spaced 1-1/2, <Ctrl+5>.
