Hi Tom, Usually, the 192.168.0.1 address is the address of your modem/router. I assume you have DHCP enabled on your computer so that the router assigns an IP address to your computer. Do you know what the IP address of the computer is? You can open a command window on your computer and type ipconfig . That will tell you what IP address has been assigned to your computer. With only one computer, 192.168.0.2 may be the IP address assigned to it. I just looked at the manual for your router. It has a built in firewall. Have you tried turning that off? A router on its own because of the network address translation is a firewall. So an extra software firewall while nice could be causing some problems. Since you've looked at the router logs I assume you can get into the router. I've got a couple of other ideas, but try that and let us know. I've tried four different players and it's the same with all of them. I have to open and close the player several times before I get any audio. I have waited as long as five minutes thinking maybe there was a lot of buffering going on. There are no error messages. Yesterday I was looking at the system log file provided by my modem/router (ActionTec GT724R) and I saw where there were errors in trying to connect to "192.168.0.2." I normally use "http://192.168.0.1"; to access the modem/router which works just fine. If I use "http://192.168.0.0"; or "http://192.168.0.2"; I get website not found. I'm guessing the problem is between my computer and the router part of the modem/router. Is there a way I can have only "192.168.0.1" be accessed? There is only one computer connected to the network. Thanks for any ideas, guesses or comments. Tom ========================= The list's FAQ's can be seen by sending an email to PCWorks-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with FAQ in the subject line.
