The computer is about 1-1/2 years old.  They do regular maintainence all the 
time, disk cleanup, defrag, delete history, scandisk, file checker, etc.  
The computer has been cleaned out & the fans are running OK.  After I 
disabled crashguard, she gets illegeal operation messages & said the 
computer is acting "strange".  They have the bare minimum running at 
startup.

Could power surges be part of the problem.  I know in time it will take its 
toll on a computer.  They don't have a grounded outlet & but I think they 
use a surge strip.  Don't know how good of one, tho.
