Gman is correct about the voltages and the capacitors.  Flat panels are not 
as bad as picture tubes but still have certain hazards.  If you are going to 
open a picture tube monitor to clean out the dustbugs, make sure the vacuum 
cleaner uses plactic tools and extensions.  If you are using a spray can of 
air, put the can in a rubber glove or sleeve of some sort and use the little 
coffee stirrer nozzle attachment.
