Sandi,
    One thing that you need to know is that there will always be a certain 
amount of lag associated with a wireless connection (wifi, satellite, 
wireless networking, bluetooth, etc.).  For browsing, it doesn't have much 
of an effect.  But communication with an email server (and nearly any type 
of online gaming) will always be much slower than other types of internet 
transfers due to the fact that their protocols produce many more 'requests' 
in both directions than other types.
