SIL = Son-in-Law :-) First, I should have told you this I suppose, I have Vista on my laptop, came with the computer and the first thing I did when getting it home was to make restore discs, there are 6 of them. I don't suppose using this would do the trick, worth a try? I'm not going to try them if it's not the thing to do. I will get onto looking up that URL as soon as I can.....have my semi-disabled hubby to get sorted first.
