try ADD HARDWARE in CONTROL PANEL to detect the sound card.you might want to start in safe mode and delete all device listed under "sound and game controllers" first.in my experience sound cards like IRQ5 or 9 or both and the conflict is usually with a modem. ----- Original Message ----- From: "C.E.
