Jo Ann,

It is slower then a snail crawling through Molasses at
120 below zero!! I don't think it will run Win98 or
very very slowly. These machines had trouble running
Windows 95. 

I would say 133MHZ to 233MHZ computer. Will run
Windows 98. Will still seem slow to us. That is on
you. That speed you are looking at a Socket 5. I think
for Intel and AMD. 

Now another option is load linux on the old machine. I
have links to download linux.
