There are 3 credit reporting bureaus. You are ENTITLED to one FREE one every year from each place. Be VERY careful when getting the FREE report. They have tricky things on their sites that could make you BUY either a trial membership (That turns into a full membership if you do not tell them you do not want it) or a yearly membership right away. http://www.experian.com/ http://www.experian.com/ I cannot think of the name of the third one off the top of my head and my other half is in the care waiting for me for a dr appt, Just be careful NOT to sign up for a membership...unless you really want to, Take FREE first. Hope this helps... I have some Spam in my e-mail this morning encouraging me to check my credit rating. I would really like to do this but I am leery of this particular report center. Are credit ratings kept State by State or nationwide? Just in case you are wondering I had a bill collector threaten me with this "alleged debt" going on my credit report. And, in case I have piqued (sp?) your interest, I will tell you "the rest of the story"; -) Sandi --------------------------------------------------------------- Please remember to trim your replies (including this sentence and everything below it) and adjust the subject line as necessary.
