lets all take a deep breath. I didn't read the post as being
rude..........and it has been discussed several times in the past.
Unfortunately, we forget these things........myself included. Some
time ago I joined a gun list and was immediately chided for being so
rude by having a long signature. At first I was a bit irritated...but
in reflection, the person was right, my sig was long. I combined
lines and what I have now is much shorter....and it's probably at the
upper limits of acceptable.

On the other hand, I don't have much sympathy for people who are on
digest. That's a choice they make when they sign up. Lists do get
busy...and this ones not that prolific. I belong to several that have
100-300 posts a day. Think how that translates in digest form <G>

Bottom line, it's considerate and polite to minimize the signatures,
and cut extraneous material from post responses. If that's done on a
regular basis, and some users still have problems, I suggest they look
for other sources of information besides computer lists.
